LeT thE ReDeEmeD of tHe LORd DReSs SO! – PaRt 1ne

Do you know that God’s standard has never changed?
What standard did God tell Samuel in Jesse’s house?
(NIV)1 Samuel 16:7
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

Have you ever seen people who said you should consider a green orange and a yellow orange, which will you pick. I said, I will feel it first (by pressing it) before I decide.
But you will pick the yellow orange, they insist. Oops!
Let’s look at bananas. There are green bananas that are very ripe, yet are ripe.
Have you eaten bananas that were ripened with carbide before? Remember how it feels. Those bananas usually appear ripest.

Let’s correlate this to appearance.
Code of dressing is not what makes you a Christian. Any normal person will dress in a moral way. Ever seen a core unbeliever dress before? They appear pious. What makes the difference is that in their spirit, they are not recreated.

A baby crawls, a snake crawls. We can’t conclude that it is a snake. A man walks, so does a gorilla. I remember a man telling my dad that an ape walked across him in the farm. He said he wouldn’t have known except that instead of replying his greetings, the thing just kept moving like he didn’t hear. It could have escaped if only it could greet, but it is not a man by nature. So it can’t respond.
When we force people to conform to dressing rules, they become like carbide bananas, good outside but nasty inside. Even the society says don’t judge a book by the cover. YOU WERE NOT SAVED BECAUSE YOU DRESSED WELL. YOUR DRESSING DOESN’T QUALIFY YOU BEFORE GOD.

If truly God’s standard have not changed, 1 Sam16:7 makes me believe God is not carried away by pious outward appearance but the condition of the INWARD MAN.
